Thank you. This is very inspiring and helpful. I’ve been wanting to make scarves for years….to further fill my scarf collection….just cannot seem to stop this passion for scarves!! Nor do I really want to. Yes, they don’t take up much space (ok, individually) but they take up a significant space in my heart…as they make me feel better at times…that extra splash of color or texture on my tender neck. Thank you!!

I am so glad you have the web site SEMTA – All that i know by Sarina Tarig. We were about to throw out our new Janome because before your web site we had never heard of bird nesting. The tension was too low when it came from the factory. Thanks, Becky

In reply to Tina. You can stitch a similar cotton drill or twill or even spandex with an additional line of sewing in the seam allowance of that area.If you want interfacing choose a light to mide weight interfacing with woven structure so it flexes and drapes.

I need to reinforce the seat of cotton pants. What type of interfacing should I use for this? The pattern is a small check in med-dark gray so it won’t be difficult to find a color to blend in but I’m not sure whether fusing or sew-in would be best or even the thickness of the fabric. The cotton is relatively thin but I’m trying to strengthen an area that both drapes around the..er..body part 🙂 and needs strength to withstand much sitting. I’m just all at sea with this project.
